She has been a speaker for international and national health based conferences including Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) and American Association for Health, Physical Education and Dance (AAHPERD). Her passion rests on her belief after thirty years experience regardless of age or condition people can improve if change.

Catherine has thirteen years experience working with elementary schools in wellness and is author of  A New SENSORY Self Awareness Book,, a sensory motor education for elementary children supporting mind, body and heart self-awareness.  She is founder and director of the Wellness Through Movement program and producer and writer for the animation mindfulness video Get Sensational Attention.

Her practice has worked with conditions of all ages from biomechanical, neurological disorders, and chronic diseases.  The foundation of her work is based on the Feldenkrais Method however she blends the physics, psychology, and neurophysiology fields into developmental movement and cognitive function.

Ancient scripture also influences her practice with focus on both the Bible and Eastern teachings.  For forty years she has also been devoted to the arts and practices meditation and other ancient studies in mindfulness and healing. Paralleling these techniques with the science of physics steers the helm of how she works.

She has teamed with researchers at Vassar College and University of Hawaii Hilo to measure t results of the children's program.  However measurements \ determined by video taping movement was prohibited in public school legislation.  The study of movement in the corollary discharge and the link between body, mind and spirit is now her focus.  Scholars interested in measures of physical behavior and movement to perception, self-care and healing include Catherine Kerr of Brown University and Carolyn Palmer of Vassar College.  Educational specialists are especially interested in how movement is used for diagnostic purposes in mental, emotional and especially physical challenges.

Self-study continued for now 30 years researching mind/body practices and writings are influencing healthcare and education systems. Writings introduce new perspectives for elementary education to modern medicine. Understanding of the corollary discharge of habituation of movement is her focus now.

Catherine’s intention is to be gentle, compassionate and supportive with each unique individual, group, or organization in the process of understanding learning, body-to-brain awareness and well-being. Most importantly she is sincerely devoted to helping people expand awareness of their physical embodiment and the value of this awareness to their health and vitality of Spirit.
